Hi, I’m Ratu Sonia Badriah, originally from Indonesia and currently based in Tokyo, Japan. I have lived here for nine years, starting with language school at CBC Kawasaki, then continuing my studies at Takushoku University, majoring in Business Administration.

After graduation, I built my career working full-time in the field of 貿易実務 (trade operations) for about four years at both a logistics company (物流会社) and a trading company (商社). My main responsibilities included handling export-import documentation and managing shipping processes, particularly under letter of credit contracts.

Drawing from this professional experience, I eventually expanded my path as a content creator, sharing insights about career development, work culture, and job opportunities in Japan.

In addition to my full-time role, I’m also a content creator behind RyugakuTokyo, where I share educational content focused on careers and job hunting in Japan—especially for international students and professionals.

Finding a job in Japan hasn’t been easy for me, despite having a degree and business-level Japanese. I’ve faced countless rejections and job changes, but over time, I’ve learned what it takes to succeed—and now, I want to help others do the same.

Through writing, videos, and online content, I aim to inspire and inform anyone who wants to start or grow their career in Japan.
